The Scout Drone is unarmed, cheap and fast, with the widest vision of any unit. It exists to see.
How to use
Build one at the first Airbase and keep it over the enemy's approach lane; build another to spot for artillery, MLRS and battleships, which are only as good as their vision. Drones die to any anti-air, so keep them moving and treat them as disposable. Set several on a patrol loop around your base for early warning.
Anecdotes
Aerial reconnaissance began with pigeons. In 1907 a Bavarian apothecary strapped a timed miniature camera to a bird's chest and got the first photographs taken from the air by something that was not a person.
