The Wolf is the Tier-1 workhorse: cheap, quick to build, and its autocannon punishes light vehicles and scouts. Early armies are built from these.
How to use
Mass them in the opening minutes to escort engineers, clear enemy buggies and pressure a lightly defended expansion. Its damage falls off sharply against heavy armor and structures, so once Battle Tanks appear, keep Wolves on the flanks hunting light vehicles and let the heavy line do the pushing.
Anecdotes
The Soviet PT-76 light tank could swim: a hollow hull, two water jets at the stern, and a crew willing to drive into a river. The Wolf cannot, which is what the Landing Craft is for.
