- Aimed from a mount that turns on its own: the unit fires in any direction without turning its hull, and can keep firing on the move. A fixed gun has to face its target first. The round steers after its target in flight and lands on it however it moves. An unguided round is fired at where the target is heading, and can miss.

The Missile Boat is a small hull carrying long-range anti-ship missiles. It cannot hit anything on land or in the air, but against surface ships it punches far above its price.
How to use
A pack of missile boats behind a gunboat screen is the cheapest way to sink an early escort. Fire from maximum range and back off while reloading. They are helpless against submarines and aircraft, so pair them with an Aegis escort once the enemy fields either.
Anecdotes
In 1967 two Egyptian missile boats sank the Israeli destroyer Eilat from beyond the horizon, the first warship ever killed by a ship-launched guided missile. Every navy in the world rewrote its air defences that year.
