The Gatling Turret is the MG Turret's upgrade: a higher rate of fire, a tougher pad and more reach around the base. The upgrade costs 200 metal, bringing the total investment to 330, and its range is 6.5 tiles. Its machine gun fires on ground vehicles, surface ships and aircraft, including jets and bombers.
How to use
Upgrade the MG turrets that see the most action: the ones on the enemy's approach lane and next to exposed extractors. Its reach extends past a Cobra's missiles, so a helicopter coming to attack the emplacement enters its fire first. Heavy tanks still need Cannon Turrets or Bastions alongside, and artillery standing off requires mobile units to answer it. Keep the power grid supplied: a shortage slows the gun's firing rate.
